Inmate Indicted For Ordering Hits on Witnesses

MARTINEZ — A Contra Costa County grand jury has indicted a Pittsburg man after he allegedly hired hits on nine witnesses set to testify against him, suggesting they could die in staged car crashes, drug overdoses and robberies “gone bad,” prosecutors said Friday.
